Barton Malow Selects Copper Range for Honda Transmission Manufacturing Localization Project

Troy, Michigan January 24, 2011 - Copper Range is pleased to announce Barton Malow has selected CRScan to control worker access on the Honda Transmission Manufacturing (HTM) Localization Project in Russells Point, Ohio. CRScan will be used by guards to control access to the project using wireless handheld devices from guard shacks for contractor access and to ensure worker compliance.

“I wasn’t surprised when I received the call that our services were recommended from one project to another”, states Jennifer Baenziger, Director of Sales and Marketing with Copper Range. The HTM project marks a continuing relationship between Barton Malow and Copper Range involving jobsite access control.

With options ranging from a simple card swipe to a roadway lift arm gate to a single-person turnstile, CRScan accurately checks a worker’s credentials against a pre-built, web-based database of information in a fraction of a second. It then provides up-to-date reporting, attendance and compliance information such as drug test programs, safety training certification, area access approval and any other rules required of workers by employers.

As a patented wireless, cellular system, CRScan operates with complete independence from any pre-existing IT infrastructure or staff. It can be put in place as soon as electrical power is available - quickly, simply, cost effectively.
