Copper Range Attended MiSHE Annual Conference and Trade Show

Software development company Copper Range attended the annual Michigan Society for Healthcare Engineers (MiSHE) conference in Kalamazoo. Jennifer Baenziger, Director of Sales of Marketing, and Kris Held, Product and Communications Manager for Copper Range were among over 150 exhibitors and attendees at the three-day event. Copper Range introduced its new web-based, fire data management solution the Firestop Information System (FIS) to participants that included Michigan hospital facility directors and operations managers.

The conference theme “New Solutions for a New Decade” focused on introducing innovative processes and creative solutions to risk management, energy efficiency and cost savings for healthcare institutions. Speakers shared new technology solutions to creating safer environments for hospital patients, staff and visitors and discussed the latest regulations, codes and standards impacting healthcare facilities.

Thursday’s exhibition provided a venue for companies to share products and solutions for healthcare administrators. Baenziger and Held found the FIS to be well received, as attendees were interested in the system’s ability to streamline a crucial aspect of facility management. Members noted that healthcare facilities have a greater ability to ensure Joint Commission compliance and inspection approval when implementing a risk management system such as the FIS.

FIS is a patent-pending, interactive data management system through which pertinent data for firestops - passive fire protection systems - is stored and accessed. The system allows documentation to be shared and amended; creating up-to-date, real-time management of critical information for firestop contractors, facility managers and other authorized users. FIS replaces cumbersome, manual paper processes with an all-digital, wireless solution.
