Copper Range Submits New Patent Application

Software development company Copper Range has submitted a fourth patent application for its web-based, access control system, CRScan. The new invention addresses issues of robustness, latency and richer sensor-user relationships within the system.

Developed by Copper Range co-founders Dr. Peter Kochever and Randall Ray, the technology enhancements are a means of reducing or eliminating the probability of a system failure and decreasing the time interval between when an individual appears at a site and is scanned into CRScan, and when they are actually allowed or denied entry. The improvements further allow workers to use their cell phones to interact with a sensor and receive electronic or paper receipts.
