Copper Range has developed a new Safety Management Database System (SMDS) for The Ironworker Management Progressive Action Corporation Trust, or IMPACT, as it is more commonly known, to help manage their Drug Free Workforce Program. The program was developed in 2005 to ensure ironworkers are drug-free and ready to work, and to make IMPACT member contractors more competitive in the industry.
The IMPACT SMDS will allow pre-qualified, third party administrators to manage the overall process of the Program, ensuring testing compliance by state, administering the random selection process, and ensuring a large network of collection sites and collector quality control.
